Littleton High School
Class of 1964
45th Reunion

Greetings fellow classmates:

The Littleton High School Class of 1964 will be holding our 45th reunion this summer during the Western Welcome Week grand parade weekend, August 14-16. This year we will feature an informal, more intimate reunion allowing more one-on-one time to visit and get caught up. The reunion will be held at Arrowhead Golf Club, perhaps the most beautiful venue in the entire Denver metro area (http://www.arrowheadcolorado.com/). Arrowhead is about ½ hour south of downtown Littleton near Roxborough Park. Further information is listed below.

Class Website. We have a new class website (http://www.64lhs.com) that we will be using to share information concerning the reunion. The site is currently under construction, but should be operational within the next few days. Check it out for updates and for further information as it develops. We plan to communicate primarily via the internet with only a single snail-mail mailing.

Kickoff Reception. The weekend will start off with a reception on Friday evening, August 14 from 7:00 to 11:00 PM at Arrowhead. The reception will NOT include a meal, so you should plan on eating before you head over. There will be a cash bar serving a variety of liquid refreshments. There are several great spots to eat on South Kipling and South Wadsworth. Arrowhead also offers a variety of reasonably priced meals at their “On the Rocks Bar and Grill” but has limited seating (see the website above for a complete menu). See Accommodations below for further information on a special hotel rate.

Western Welcome Week and Parade. Several of us plan to attend the Western Welcome Week Parade and art show. Nothing formal is planned; just another chance to gather and tour some of the old haunts. Classmates usually gather at the west end of the parade route near the old library (now called the Melting Pot) then attend the downtown art show afterwards. For those of you who have not been back to WWW for the past several years, you will be amazed how WWW has grown. The parade itself is now one of Colorado’s largest and participants attend from all over the nation. Also, there are a variety of other Littleton area events planned as a part of WWW preceding our reunion weekend. If you would like to know more about WWW visit their website at: http://www.westernwelcomeweek.com/.

Reunion Banquet. The main reunion event will be held on Saturday evening, August 15 from 7:00 PM to midnight at Arrowhead. A laid back buffet will be served starting at 8:00. A cash bar will also be available Saturday evening. Again the emphasis will be on intimate and casual; summer sportswear is encouraged. We have planned no formal speakers or presentations to allow for maximum time to visit and getting reacquainted. BE SURE TO BRING YOUR CAMERA!!

We have not planned any special events for Sunday, August 16 as we have in the past; but rather hope that you all will take the opportunity to make arrangements to meet with friends on that day, as your schedules permit.

How Much will it cost? There will be a charge of $35 per person for the reunion weekend. This charge covers the meal on Saturday evening including gratuity and tax, decorations, rental of the venue for both nights, mailings, etc. Please complete and send the attached reservation form and your check today (hard copies only please). The reunion weekend is open to LHS graduates, spouses, parents, children, friends of the class, LHS instructors and classmates from other LHS classes. We must receive your reservations no later than August 1st.

Golf anyone? For all of you golfers (including spouses) we have arranged a special rate for a round of golf at Arrowhead to precede the Friday reception. Right now the plan is a Friday mid-morning tee time, allowing time to freshen up before the reception. If you are unfamiliar with the course, check out the details at the website above. What a spectacular setting! If we can put together 16 or more golfers they will block a group of Tee times for us at a special reunion rate of $119 per person (normally $145). If you are interested contact Bob Schmidt (rschmidt@Boulderco.com, or call him at 303.667.4020). We must receive all golf reservations no later than August 1st.

We need your help, please. Our principal activity for the next few weeks will be to update our aging database and to locate lost classmates. If you have had changes in your information since 2004, please send the following information to Dave White via internet at <dave@wwh.name> or via snail-mail to 6810 W. Chatfield Lane, Littleton, CO 80125 or fax 303.791.5533. If you have had no changes since 2004, we likely have your current information. We’d like your information for inclusion in the directory, whether or not you plan to attend the reunion weekend. Here are the database fields for a directory that we will publish and distribute following the reunion. Let us know if you do not wish your information to be included in the directory. Also, if you wish to receive no further information about the weekend, please also let us know; we will respect your wishes.

Please note that THIS IS NOT the same Marriott at which we held the 40th Reunion. Mention that you are with the LHS Class of 64 for a per night special rate of $89. This rate is for a Studio suite (living area, kitchen, queen bed and deluxe continental breakfast). Rooms have been blocked for Thursday through Saturday night, but you can make reservations for as many or as few of these nights as you would like. The cutoff date for this block is July 30.
